General Construction Labour (Asphalt)

Monarch Paving (2016) Ltd. has been in business since 1958 and specializes in small to medium sized asphalt paving projects throughout the Greater Vancouver Regional District. Based on the North Shore, our expertise is working with challenging topography, and we are known as a professional and responsive organization. Residential, Commercial, Institutional and Industrial clients appreciate our innovative and efficient approach to business.

We are currently looking to hire Five (05) full-time General Construction Labourers to add to our Paving Team!

Work Location: Required to work at various sites as per the business contracts with business based at 93004-5331 Headland Drive, West Vancouver, BC - V7W 3G4

 Responsibilities:

• Be reliable and capable of working with other workers on the crew
• Assist in the loading and unloading of construction materials
• Grade area using a shovel and rake, remove rubble and other debris at construction sites using rakes, shovels, wheelbarrows, and other equipment
• Lift, hold and carry supplies, tools, and materials
• Assist heavy equipment operators to secure special attachments to equipment
• Signal operators to guide them in moving equipment

• Must be a team player, follow safety protocols and follow all company safety policies.

• Must be willing to work outdoors, summer months under hot and high temperatures.

 Requirements:

• No formal education or experience is required. Any previous related experience would be considered an asset.
• Basic English

Remuneration:

- $18 - $25 hourly depending on skill set and experience.
- Avg. 30-40 hours/week
- Overtime Available
