COMPANY INFORMATION

Optimal Assessment Health Centre was formally known as a multidisciplinary clinic dedicated to an integrated approach in providing rehabilitation services and health management to local and neighbour communities for patients suffering from injuries caused by motor vehicle accidents, sport and exercise, WSIB, slip and fall; as well as pre-and post-operative program.  

 

Due to a high demand for medical legal evaluations and reports, Optimal Assessment Health Centre redirected its attention to focus solely on medical legal evaluations and independent medical evaluations specializing in plaintiff and defense counsel, employers, insurers, and disability carriers to assess impairment, disability, causation and liability.

 

We are currently recruiting for a Medical Administrative Assistant to provide medical-related administrative support to ensure the smooth and effective operation of the office.

 

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Acting as the first-point of contact for general enquiries, schedule and confirm appointments.
  2. Schedule appointments, book rooms and arrange appropriate meetings for patients.
  3. Interview, help and guide patients to obtain medical reports and case histories.
  4. Work with patients to complete and submit insurance and other claim forms.
  5. Enter and format medical reports; prepare spreadsheets and documents for review; verify the accuracy and completeness of documents.
  6. Initiate and record medical files; manage and maintain customer filing system.
  7. Inspect and monitor medical order supplies and maintain inventory for medical materials and equipment.
  8. Coordinate with supervisor to determine and establish office procedures and routines.

 

SALARY/TERMS

$22.50 per hour, 30-40 hours per week

Monday to Friday

Full-time; Terms or Contract

REQUIREMENTS

  1. Completion of secondary school education is required.
  2. Minimum of one-year previous experience in an administrative role; previous experience managing and planning will be an asset.
  3. Ability to work in a highly organized manner where attention to detail, accuracy and confidentiality are crucial.
  4. Excellent time management skills with demonstrated ability to meet deadlines under pressure while multitasking and handling multiple priorities and interruptions.
  5. Strong service-orientation with excellent client service and front-line customer service skills.
  6. Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (written and verbal).
  7. Proficiency with MS Windows and Microsoft Office.
