Job Duties and Responsibilities:
- File exhibits, briefs, appeals and other legal documents with the court or opposing counsel.
- Help Lawyer during trials, taking notes, or assessing preliminary transcripts.
- Maintaining and organizing files, conducting legal research, and drafting documents.
- Taking care of commonplace office obligations, for example, noting telephones, overseeing stock or performing accounting tasks.
- Prepare and key in correspondence and legal documents.
- Review and proofread documents and correspondence to ensure compliance with legal procedures and grammatical usage.
- May perform other general office work as required including preparing financial statements.
