Located in Surrey, BC, RAV Painting offers quality painting services to the Lower Mainland, Greater Vancouver, and Fraser Valley (BC). Salary: $26.50 per hour

Job Type: Full time; Permanent

Number of Positions: 2

Expected start date: As soon as possible

Work location: Various locations in Lower Mainland, Greater Vancouver, Fraser Valley (BC) and/or as per company’s contracts with its clients

Job Duties

• Determine the type and quantity of materials and work needed by reading instructions and examining surfaces.
• Prepares paint according to specific colors by selecting premixed paints, or mixing pigment, oil, and thinning and
• drying substances.
• Finish surfaces both inside and outside with paint, wallpaper, and other materials.
• Sets up scaffolding or ladders to perform work above ground level.
• Protect surfaces not being painted with masking tape.
• Provide color schemes and wall covering advice to customers.
• Apply wallpaper and fabrics to walls by measuring, cutting, and sticking them.
• Make sure the surfaces to be painted are clean, sanded, and ready for painting.

Job Requirements

• Completion of high school.
• Apprenticeship program completion or a minimum of 2-3 years of trade experience.
• Effective communication skills.
• Ability to work independently under limited supervision.
• An understanding of the principles, methods, and techniques of painting.
• Risk assessment and equipment safety awareness.
• Knowledge of preparation techniques and painting materials and tools.
• Understanding of drawings, plans, and following written and verbal instructions.

Note

• Candidates who qualify will receive relocation assistance up to $1000.00.
• The company will pay $500.00 CAD as a referral incentive to any current employee who refers a candidate, and the company hires them.
