Sea to Sky Armor Deck is the leading provider of Armor Deck vinyl decking installation services along and beyond the Sea to Sky corridor. We have over 12,900 vinyl decking projects completed with homeowners, developers, strata managers, and renovation contractors since 2002.

Job Summary:

The flooring installer will be required to implement effective flooring solutions in consultation with our clients. They must ensure adherence to our protocols while observing standard safety guidelines.

To be successful in this position, one should possess the ability to deliver high-quality work within short but reasonable turnaround times. A remarkable flooring installer will recommend ways to improve workflow without sacrificing craftsmanship.

Job Description and Duties: 

• Inspect, measure and mark surfaces to be covered
• Advising clients about foreseeable costs before installation begins.
• Inspect and repair damaged floor coverings
• Measure, cut and install resilient floor covering using adhesive, rollers and other hand tools
• Install hardwood floors, such as strip floors, block floors or plank floors, using glue, staples, nails or other means.
• Removing existing flooring and discarding of this material, if applicable.
• Clearing the work surface from dust, debris, and obstructions
• May estimate material and labour costs
• Ensuring to follow safety policies at all times.
• Others as needed.

Terms of Employment: Full time

Hours of Work: 30 hours per week 

Wages:  $22.50 per hour 

Overtime: One and one-half times the regular wage rate as per provincial regulations. 

Benefits Package: 

• Insurance from Workplace Safety and Insurance Board covered by employer.
• Vacation pay as per provincial regulations will be paid each payday on a semi-monthly basis.

Education, Experience and Language Requirements:

• Completion of Secondary School is an asset
• Ability to communicate in English
• At least 6 months of experience

• Combination of standing, walking, bending
• Standing for extended periods
• Capable of lifting/pushing heavy objects weighing over 40 lbs
• Ability to work in a noisy and distracting environment

• Use their hands to handle, control, or feel objects, tools, or controls
• Spatial awareness

• Must be available for all hours of operations
