Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full-time 36 hr / week
Wage: C$29.50/ hr

Language Preference: English
Education: College, CEGEP or equivalent experience
Experience: 2 to 3 years in same or related field.
Start date: As soon as possible
Network Technician (NOC 22220) will have to perform all of these duties:
- Maintain, troubleshoot, repair and administer local area networks (LANs), wide area networks (WANs), mainframe networks, computer workstations, connections to the Internet and peripheral equipment
- Evaluate and install computer hardware, networking software, operating system software.
- Implement network traffic and security monitoring software, and optimize server performance
- Set up local area networks and connections to the Internet
- Perform data backups and disaster recovery operations
- Provide problem-solving services to network users
- WIFI configuration, troubleshooting and general wireless network support
- Perform routine network start up and close down and maintain control records.
- Install, maintain, troubleshoot and upgrade Web-server hardware and software
- Respond to requests for help and information from Website visitors and Website designers
Required Skills / Knowledge:
- Extensive knowledge of network connectivity, network security and WiFi networks
- Ability to work with a variety of customers and vendors (some technical some non-technical)
- Works well individually and within a team environment
- Positive and professional attitude, good work ethic
- Good in assessing conditions through examination or diagnostic testing to determine appropriate treatments.
Other Desired Qualifications or knowledge:
- Knowledge and hands-on experience providing support for Windows 7,8, & 10 and other mainstream Microsoft applications
- Knowledge and hands-on experience providing support to users with MAC’s, Tablets, and other mobile devices
- Good understanding of Android and other mobile Environments
- Having knowledge of Networking software, Networking hardware, Networking security, Intranet, Servers, Desktop applications
