Position: Landscape Architectural Technician (NOC: 22114)
Job Location: 1018 Beckwith Avenue Victoria British Columbia V8X 3S4 Education:
Minimum Two to Three Year Diploma in Landscape design or Technology

Job description:


 Experience

  • A minimum of five years of experience in landscape design
    • Experience in project management in the context of a landscape company essential

 

Skills

 

  • Experience in dealing with requests for proposals and contract execution
  • Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
  • Proficient in AutoCad, Vectorworks, Sketch Up & Adobe Creative Cloud
  • Above average knowledge of landscape construction methods and materials
    • Competent in preparing and presenting visual concept plans using software such as Word, Excel and PowerPoint
    • Advanced technical and graphic skills (3D rendering using Lumion would be an asset)
    • Architectural understanding & drawing application critical

Job Terms: Permanent Full Time Number of openings: 2

Wages: $ 36.10/Hr (Yearly package - $75000) Language: Should be able to communicate in English

 

Job Duties:

  • Manage Landscaping projects including preparing conceptual designs in the form of presentation graphics and drawings.
  • Preparing Proposals for Clients including Estimate costs for the project.
  • Writing specifications, surveys and assess designated sites.
  • developing budgets and estimating time and material requirements
    • Prepare contracts and tenders, read and interpret blueprints, plan and construct landscaped environments which may include trees, shrubberies, lawns, fences, decks, patios, pools, ponds and other landscape structures
    • Prepare Graphic landscape plans, construction details
      • Assist team leaders with route and job planning and organization, thereby ensuring sufficient resources and materials are readily available.
      • Address Client’s questions, comments and concerns or refer clients to the team leader as appropriate.
      • Knowledge of integrated rainwater harvesting and green infrastructure
      • Overseeing the installation of Fiberglass Pool and spa shells.

 

 

Work setting: The candidate should be available to work full time in the day or evening.

In office and on site as required.
