We will provide the following:
- Minimum of 35 hours/ week throughout your employment period
- Paid Vacation of 2 Weeks each year or 4% of salary
- Salary: C$ 26.50 per hour
Duties
- Plan quantities required ingredients, prepare meals by reviewing recipes, assembling, combining, and cooking ingredients.
- Contributes to daily, holiday, and theme menus in collaboration with the supervisor
- Coordinates daily food supply inventory for the Restaurant. Submits order to supervisor
- Ensures cleanliness and sanitation of equipment, food storage, and work areas
- Assists in recruiting and hiring kitchen workers
- Assists with orienting new employees to their work area
- Coordinate and supervise the work of kitchen staff
- Maintain high standards of food hygiene and, health & safety at all times
- Assisting other cooks in preparing food or helping other team members when needed
- Estimate amounts and costs of required supplies, such as food and ingredients
Requirements
- Minimum of one year of work experience as a Cook is required
- Ability to legally work in Canada
