TRUCK DRIVER

JOB DESCRIPTION: 

• Deliver products, load and unload products from your truck, and drive to and from our customers and back to the warehouse
• Ensure safe, responsible, and efficient performance of duties
• Ensure compliance with procedures and regular safety checks of your equipment (truck, pallet jack, etc.) to ensure safety at all times
• Perform pre- trip and post trip inspections of vehicle.
• Maintain driver’s logs and submit to safety department.
• Participate in group discussions including unit meetings, job briefings, safety meetings or process reviews.
• Work safely to prevent on the job accidents and injuries.
• Represent the business in a professional manner when on external customer sites

JOB DETAILS:

Job Title: Truck Driver

Experience Required: Minimum 1 year to less than 2 years

Education Required: Minimum Secondary (high) school graduation certificate  is required

Personal Suitability: Efficient interpersonal skills, Excellent oral communication, Flexibility, Organized, Reliability

Communication Systems Experience : Operate GPS (Global Positioning System) and other navigation equipment

 Work Conditions And Physical Capabilities : Attention to detail ; Handling heavy loads; Large workload; Physically demanding; Repetitive tasks; Sitting

COMPENSATION & HOURS:

Salary: $28.00 CAD Per Hour

Working hours: Minimum 35 hours per week

Overtime Rate: $42 per hour starting after 44 hours per week

Holiday pay: 4% of gross pay
