Job Description for the Restaurant Manager:
Maintain a safe, secure, and healthy environment by establishing sanitation standards and procedures.
Plan menus by consulting with the cooks; estimate food costs and profits; adjust menus.
Monitor food, presentation, and service.
Resolve customer complaints and ensure health and safety regulations are followed
Control inventory, monitor revenues, and modify procedures and prices
Plan, organize, direct, control, and evaluate the operations of a restaurant
Recruit and train new staff and Resolve any complaints of the internal staff.
Make a schedule and review job contributions.
Negotiate arrangements with suppliers for food and other supplies.
Actively participate in the restaurant’s financial objectives by forecasting; preparing an annual budget; scheduling expenditures, and initiating other corrective actions.
Negotiate arrangements with clients for catering or use of facilities
Personal Suitability: Effective interpersonal skills; Flexibility; Team player; excellent oral communication; Client focus. Must be able to supervise minimum 4 to 5 people.
