Business Systems Analyst - SAP SuccessFactors On behalf of our client in the Banking Sector, Chase IT Consulting is looking for a Business Systems Analyst - SAP SuccessFactors Business Systems Analyst - SAP SuccessFactors - Job Description

  • Create the Technical Requirements Document by coordinating meetings and gathering the required information across multiple stakeholder groups
  • Document current company systems and processes
  • Coordination & Review of the QAT & UAT Efforts
  • Technical coordination among various stakeholders, including Business & Technology
  • Translate data for presentation to other team members

Business Systems Analyst - SAP SuccessFactors – Mandatory Skills

  • 2+ years of experience in implementing Talent Management, Employee Central modules in SuccessFactors (SAP)
  • 5-7 years of previous experience working as a Business Systems Analyst
  • Experience in documenting technical requirements/specifications
  • Experience in Software Development Life Cycle (SDLC)
  • Proficient computer skills, including Microsoft Office Suite (Word, PowerPoint, Outlook, and Excel)
  • Experience in analyzing system records and translating data
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and solid communication with all levels of management
  • Possess excellent attention to detail and be able to manage multiple players across different levels of the organization (including the Senior Leadership Team)
  • Ability to coordinate multiple deliverables and meet deadlines in a high-pressure environment
  • Organization Skills are a must as the individual is required to gather the data and uncover the requirements through meetings effectively
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
  • Self-motivated and self-directed
  • Post-secondary or bachelor's degree in business, computer science, or IT-related field

 Nice to Have Skills

  • ITIL Certified
  • Experience in the Banking Industry or Public Sector is highly preferred

Business Systems Analyst - SAP SuccessFactors 

Assignment Start Date ASAP – 6 months to start 

 Assignment Location Toronto, ON – Work Remotely

 

Project Description

The Functional Analyst liaises between the application clients and the technical resources. The Analyst is expected to have business analysis, customer focus, and technical skills. They can gather business requirements through workshop sessions and translate them into technical ones to provide clients with options and solutions. The Functional Analyst is responsible for adequately documenting requests or issues, coordinating with the technical team on the resolution or options analysis, developing and testing the chosen options, and monitoring the deployment into the production system.

Responsibilities include but may not be limited to:

  • Collecting, documenting, updating, and reviewing business processes and scenarios into functional design
  • documentation. Ensure proper review and acceptance by the subject matter experts/stakeholders.
  • Responding to customer requests for enhancements, maintenance, and break-fix activities.
  • Researching and proposing options and resolutions to issues or enhancements. Document and present
  • outcomes to clients.
  • Participating and providing functional input into project base activities.
  • Providing estimates based on requirements (also required on a ticket-by-ticket basis).
  • Providing input into project activities and project plans.
  • Reporting on activities to the assigned Project Manager.
  • Developing test plans and test strategies for unit and integration testing.
  • Providing support to the user acceptance testing cycle.
  • Participating and providing feedback in lessons learned sessions.
  • Creating/updating functional documentation before delivery.
  • Driving optimization efforts with aligned business unit
  • Providing assistance, guidance, and training to the clients as needed.
  • Advising on best practices and industry standards for solutions.

Service Requirements – Qualifications

  • To fulfill this role, the SAP Functional Analyst must have the following qualifications:
  • University degree in Administration, Finances, Computer Science, or equivalent.
  • Minimum seven years of experience as a functional analyst and five years of hands-on SAP configuration
  • experience within the FI/CO, Sales and Distribution, and Material Management (including COPA) modules.
  • Detailed understanding of configuring SAP FI/CO, Sales, Distribution, and Material Management
  • environments and detailed knowledge of the ECC 6 software suite.
  • Experience with OpenText VIM (Vendor Invoice Management) solution for SAP Solutions, including Invoice
  • Capture Center (ICC).
  • Extensive experience in the documentation, analysis, research, and design of solutions within a medium to
  • large enterprise.
  • Experience in assessing current business processes and aligning system functionality to optimize efforts.
  • Ability to establish and maintain excellent relationships with clients and stakeholders.
  • Familiar with working in Agile Scrum Methodology.
  • Familiar with change management and incident management methodologies and tools (ITSM, ITIL).

An asset:

  • Knowledge of SAP BW and SAP PS (Project Systems)
  • In-depth knowledge of systems development, project life cycle methodologies, and implementation experience
  • Certification as an 'SAP Certified Application Associate for Financial Accounting - strong plus.
  • Certified Business Analyst Certification, PMP certification, or training and knowledge of Agile practices for specification and testing
  • Bilingualism, verbal and written
