Industrial Electrician
Industrial Electricians play a crucial role in minimizing the downtime of our production facilities by performing repairs and preventative maintenance on our equipment and production lines. Their tasks include: testing faulty equipment, diagnosing malfunctions, and performing necessary repairs, studying blueprints, schematics, manuals, or other specifications to determine installation or repair procedures. Repair or adjust equipment, machines, or defective components, replacing worn parts, such as gaskets or seals. Maintaining equipment logs to record performance problems, repairs, calibrations, or tests. And inspect components of industrial equipment for accurate assembly and installation or for defects, such as loose connections or frayed wires.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Troubleshooting AC/DC motors, controls, PLC, electrical drives, high-voltage
systems.
Service the electrical aspect of pumps, motors, hydraulic/pneumatic systems and
high speed can production equipment.
Perform maintenance and work on electric and electronic controls
Preventive and predictive maintenance.
Perform regular inspections of machinery to identify abnormalities or potential
issues.
Balance loads and wire complex circuits.
Work with related diagnostic equipment including digital voltmeter.
Maintain records of work performed, details of repairs, and materials usage.
Interpret schematics and blueprints.
Operate mobile equipment to lift and transport materials, including man-lifts,
scissor jacks, and forklifts.
Perform equipment restoration and installation.
Maintain work areas, tools, and equipment in clean and orderly condition.
Qualifications:
Must possess 442A or 309A certification or show ability to get these certifications with previous experience.
Basic computer skills.
Possess strong communication and problem solving skills;
Demonstrated ability and willingness to work as part of a self-directed team
Be able to comfortably lift up to 20 kilograms / 45 pounds
Be physically fit with no auditory or back issues
Salary: $36.10 / Hour (unless unionized)
