Canyon Springs Montessori Academy

Canyon Springs Montessori Academy has been striving to provide the best Montessori education and environment for children more than 25 years. We have two locations in Coquitlam and Pitt Meadows, and they share the same curriculum that consists of Practical Life, Sensorial, Language Arts, and Mathematics. Currently, we are looking for Early Childhood Educator Assistants in our Pitt Meadows Location to start, continue, or expand their careers at Canyon Springs Montessori Academy.

Job Title:Early Childhood Educator Assistant

Employment Type: Full-time, Permanent

Start Date: As soon as possible

Number of Position: 2 Positions

Hourly Wage: $20.00 - $21.00 per hour (depending on work experience)

Working Hours: 30 hours per week

Working Location: 18477 Old Dewdney Trunk Road, Pitt Meadows, B.C. V3Y 1Z1

Benefits: 4% vacation pay or 10 days paid vacation + Extended Medical Insurance after 3 months of employment

Job Duties:

• Engage, and support in carry out child-care program and activities that support, and promote development of children;
• Support in activities and the curriculum for children’s creativity and interests;
• Clean and assist in housekeeping duties after the activities;
• Assist to monitor children’s progress and development, and report to Early Childhood Education Workers;
• Assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits;
• Prepare snacks and arrange rooms for children’s lunch and nap time;
• Attend and contribute to all staff meetings to discuss progress of the children.

Qualification:

• Completion of secondary school is required;
• 7 months to less than 1 year experience in child-care is required;
• Completion of an Early Childhood Education Assistant certificate program or post-secondary courses in Early Childhood Education may be required;
• BC Early Childhood Educator Assistant (ECEA) certificate is required;
• Current and clear Criminal Record Check.
