We are currently looking for an experienced Carpenter with detail-orientation to join our team.

Terms of Employment: Full-Time, Permanent 
Salary: $30.00 per hour 
Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible 
Work Site Environment: At heights, Confined spaces, Noisy, Dusty 
Work location(s): Unit 123/124 – 13045, 84 Ave, Surrey, BC, V3W 1B3 & various other locations in lower mainland, BC and/or as per company’s contracts 

As a Carpenter, candidate will be required to

• Measure, cut, shape, assemble, and join materials made from wood, wood substitute, light steel, etc.
• Determine specifications and calculate requirements based on blueprints, drawings, and sketches.
• Build cabinets, doors, windows, and other wood structures.
• Assemble and install furniture, cabinets, shelves, and other items.
• Repair, renovate, and maintain residential and commercial cabinets and kitchens.
• Measure layouts to ensure they are accurate using measuring tools.
• Work with a variety of tools and machines, including hand tools, power tools, and machines.
• Assume the responsibility of supervising other workers.

Position Requirements

• Completion of high school.
• Completion of 3-4-year apprenticeship program or at least 2 years of work experience in trade.
• Essential Skills: Reading text, Document use, Numeracy and Writing, Decision Making.
• Positive and cooperative attitude.
• Personal integrity and sense of responsibility.
• Hand and foot dexterity are required to perform activities such as lifting overhead, twisting and bending while lifting, climbing ladders and stairs.
