Salary and Working Hours:

Salary: $27.10 CAD per hour

Vacancy: 1

Working hours: Minimum 30 hours per week

Overtime Rate: $40.65 per hour starting after 44 hours per week

Holiday pay: 4% of gross pay

Job Description:

Roles and Responsibilities:

  • Dispatch, manage and allocate resources to meet the expectations of our clients.
  • Overseeing, coordinating, dispatching and managing drivers to ensure timely pick-up and delivery of all truckload shipments from vendors to their destination.
  • Assist with and enforce driver electronic log compliance to company policy
  • Promote driver safety and safe work place performance, also evaluate driver performance and compliance adherence
  • Interfacing and updating computer trucking software tools in the systems
  • Update customer data and customer service records, archive the necessary documentation
  • Provide company’s customer service and support, including complaint handling, and customer documents as needed
  • Build loads based on maximum profitability and freight to optimize load, schedule, and commodities within company’s guidelines.
  • Verifies the truck is on schedule for deliveries during required phone contact by a driver.
  • Directs driver through route.
  • Completes problem-solving tasks when a truck is delayed.
  • Verifies and documents overages, shortages, and damages at time of discrepancy.
  • Troubleshoot during and after hours of drivers, who experience mechanical break downs or delays, make financial decisions to keep freight safe from spoilage and pilferage

Education and Required Experience: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate with minimum experience of 5 years or more
