Job description:
Title: Human Resources Officer
Roles and Responsibilities:
- Identify current and prospective staffing requirements
- Interviews, hires, and onboards new employees in accordance with company policy.
- Co-ordinate and participate in selection and examination boards to evaluate candidates
- Training, coaching, and supporting the management staff.
- Creates learning and development programs and initiatives that ensure that HR policies and procedures are being followed.
- Maintains compliance with local employment laws and regulations, and recommended best practices; reviews and drafts policies and practices to maintain compliance.
- Handle or oversees unemployment claims, issues, and investigations.
- Assists in discipline and termination of employees in accordance with company policy.
- Maintains employee retention and satisfaction.
- Maintains employee and workplace privacy.
Compensation, Hours and Other Details:
Salary and Hours: $28.95 (per hour) with 30 hours per week
Overtime Rate and Holiday Pay: $43.43 per hour starting after 44 hours per week || 4% of the gross pay
Employment Requirement: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years with exeprience of 1 to 2 years in similar role.
