Job description:
Jhawar Transport Ltd. located at 3 Goreridge Crescent, Brampton, ON L6P 1P2, requires 2 Truck Drivers on a Permanent full-time basis at the wage: $27 per hour for a minimum of 30 hours or above per week. Requirements:
- Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate
- Credentials: Driver's License (Class AZ or equivalent)
- Experience: Must have 1 to less than 2 years verifiable experience as a Truck Driver.
Job duties of Truck Driver
- Must be licensed and able to drive a tractor/trailer in a safe and proficient manner
- Responsible for inspecting the vehicle to ensure it is in proper operating condition, fueled and ready for dispatch
- Completion of required internal and compliance paperwork
- Plan routes and meet delivery schedules
- Document and log work/rest periods and kilometers spent driving and retain fuel/toll receipts
- Comply with truck driving rules and regulations (size, weight, route designations, parking and break periods) as well as with company policies and procedures
- Use on board computers and communication devises to contact dispatcher and other drivers.
- Collect and verify delivery instructions
- Report accidents or violations in timely manner
- Any other relevant task
