Job description:

Employer: Aspra Plumbing & Heating Ltd. located at 82A Avenue, Delta,BC,Canada.

Position available: Plumber

No. of job vacancies: 2

Joining date: as soon as possible

Job type: permanent, full-time

Hours: 40 hours per week, occasional overtime is required

Wage: $29.00 per hour; overtime rate: $43.50 per hour

Job location: Various locations across Lower Mainland area, British Columbia.

Work setting: Residential, commercial and renovation construction job sites.

Requirements:

Language: English

Education: completion of secondary school is an asset.

Experience: 2-3 years of experience as a plumber is required for this job.

Job duties:

• Use air and water pressure gauges to test pipes for leaks
• Cut wood, concrete or drywall openings in the walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings
• Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes and fixtures in walls and floors
• Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine layout of plumbing system, water supply network and waste and drainage systems
• Knowledge of repair, installation and maintenance of plumbing fixtures and systems in required
• Ability to use hand and power tools/machines to measure, cut, bend and thread pipes is required
• Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement or soldering, brazing and welding equipment
• Meet and provide consultation to clients as required during different stages of job projects for successful completion of each job project
