Pastry maker
Working conditions: Salary $23.00 per hour, full time, 40 hours per week, regular, permanent
Requirements: Secondary (high) school, 2-3 years of experience in pastry making, personal suitability: dependability, reliability, team player, specialization: sweet goods such as desserts and pastries, rolls, pies, wedding and specialty cakes, donuts and muffins, cake decorating specialty - Eastern European pastries.
Duties:
- Prepare dough sweet goods, pies, rolls, batters for muffins, cookies and cakes and icings and frostings according to recipes according to recipes or special customer orders- Eastern European style pastries or special customer orders
- Sets time and speed controls for mixing machines, or blending machines, or mixes by hand so that ingredients will be mixed or cooked according to instructions, measure or weigh flour or other ingredients to prepare batters, doughs, fillings, or whipped cream, using scales or graduated containers
- Bake mixed dough and batters
- Prepare special orders
- Frost and decorate cakes and baked goods
- Draw up production schedules
- Ensure that the quality of products meets established standards
- Inspect kitchen and food service areas
- Operate baking related machinery
- Prepare dishes for customers with food allergies or intolerances if requested
