Moonrise Construction Ltd.  located in Abbotsford, BC is delivering high quality residential and commercial services in all kinds of new construction, renovation in Lower Mainland since 2008.  The company is currently looking for 2 full time Carpenters for their growing team.

Position: Carpenter

Number of positions: 2

Terms of employment: Full time, Permanent

Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible

Work location(s): Various locations in Lower Mainland, Greater Vancouver, Fraser Valley and/or as per company contracts.

Job duties

• Read and interpret blueprints and drawings, perform calculations, and prepare layouts.
• Measure, cut, shape, assemble and join materials made of wood, wood substitutes, lightweight steel, and other materials.
• Finish surface of woodwork in houses and buildings, using hand tools and paneling.
• Work on new projects, remodels, or additions to existing wooden structures.
• Build foundations, install floor beams and subflooring, build walls, and install partitions.
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, moldings, and hardware.
• Operate power as well as hand tools.
• Supervise other construction workers.

Salary & Benefits:

          Salary         :       $30.00 per hour

          Vacation   :       4% of gross salary

Position Requirements:

• Completion of high School
• Completion of apprenticeship program or at least 3 years of work experience in a similar field
• Ability to communicate in English
• Ability and willingness to work independently with limited supervision

• Financial assistance for relocation from other provinces or regions will be provided up to $1000.00 for qualified candidates.
