JOB DUTIES

Bookkeeper

1. Keep financial records and establish, maintain, and balance various accounts using manual and computerized bookkeeping systems
2. Post journal entries and reconcile accounts, prepare trial balance of books, maintain general ledgers, and prepare financial statements
3. Monitor accounts payable, receivable and perform the Bank Reconciliation.
4. Calculate and prepare Cheque for utility, tax and other bills.
5. Prepare and submit tax remittance forms, workers' compensation forms, pension contribution forms and other government documents
6. Prepare tax returns and perform other personal bookkeeping services
7. Preparing financial reports by analyzing, collecting, and condensing account trends and information
8. Ensure timely processing of payroll
9. Sending statement to customers and chasing for balance payments.

Compensation & Hours:

Salary: $28.10 CAD Per Hour

Working hours: Minimum 30 hours per week

Overtime Rate: $42.15 per hour starting after 44 hours per week

Holiday pay: 4% of gross pay

Education Required: Minimum College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years required
