CNC Machinist / Programmer – Afternoon Shift Position
Our client is looking for a CNC Machinist / Programmer for their afternoon shift.
The client has invested in cutting edge technology and is looking for operators to
match. They operate a facility that is over 150 000 sq feet. The CNC Machinist is responsible for setup and operation of 3 and 5 axis CNC machine tools.
Key Duties and Responsibilities:
Perform each essential duty with precision and with little supervision
Read process sheets, blueprints and/or sketches of part to determine final product
Review specifications to determine set up procedure, machining sequence and dimensions of finished product
Responsible for creating/proving/editing 2/3 axis programs
Responsible for set-up / FAI / operation of 3/4/5 axis CNC machine tools
Ensure effective production of quality parts by checking drawings or sketches, using gauges and other measuring equipment to verify parts
Qualifications:
a) Vocational or associate diploma in a related field
b) Minimum of 12 months of experience in CNC machining and programming
c) Experience in machining components to tight tolerances
d) Must have experience operating and programming Heidenhain controls
Salary: $30 per hour
Bonus: Once the probation period of 3 months is completed if an employee qualifies for the bonus they will be paid for an additional 8 hours above their standard 40 hour week worked.
