Tasks
Drive as part of a two-person team or convoy, Load and unload goods, Operate and drivestraight
or articulated trucks to transport goods and materials, Oversee the condition of thevehicle and
inspect tires, lights, brakes, cold storage, and other equipment, Perform pre-trip, enroute and
post-trip inspection and oversee all aspects of the vehicle, Receive and relayinformation to
central dispatch, Record cargo information, hours of service, distance traveledand fuel
consumption, Tarping and ensuring safety and security of cargo.
Credentials (certificates, licenses, memberships, courses, etc.): Air Brakes Endorsement, Class1/1F/A Licence (semi-trailer trucks), Driver's License (Class 1 or A)
Documentation knowledge: Bill of lading, Driver logbook, Trans-border documentation
Type of trucking and equipment: Refrigerated, Tractor-trailer
Transportation/travel experience: Long-haul, Short-haul
Security and safety: Valid passport, Criminal record check, Driving record check (abstract),Drugtest
Transportation/travel information: Valid driver's license, Willing to travel cross-border, Willingtotravel for extended periods, Willing to travel overnight
