Job description:

Employer: Aspra Plumbing & Heating Ltd. located at 82A Avenue, Delta,BC,Canada.

Position available: Construction Carpenter

No. of job vacancies: 2

Joining date: as soon as possible

Job type: permanent, full-time

Hours: 40 hours per week, occasional overtime is required

Wage: $30.00 per hour; overtime rate: $45.00 per hour

Job location: Various locations across Lower Mainland area, British Columbia.

Work setting: Residential and commercial renovation construction job sites.

Requirements:

Language: English

Education: Completion of secondary school education is an asset.

Experience: 2-3 years of experience as a Carpenter is required.

Job duties:

• Measure, cut, shape and smooth lumber to manufacture mouldings, flooring, railings etc.
• Read and interpret blue-prints, drawings sketches to determine specifications and calculate requirements.
• Proper use of hand and power tools to measure, cut, assemble and join material made of wood, lightweight steel and other materials.
• Utilize nails, hammers, screws, and drills in the coupling of structural components
• Build foundations, install floor beams, lay sub flooring and erect walls and roof systems.
• Fit and install windows, doors, stairs, mouldings and hardware
• Maintain, repair and renovate residential construction projects and wooden structures and wooden structures as required for commercial and residential projects
• Ensure propre storage of construction materials at the end of each shift
• Prepare layouts as required
