Duties/Responsibilities:
• Promote patient’s health by aiding with physiotherapy services under the direction of a physiotherapist
• Assist the physiotherapist in organizing specialized services such as massages, acupuncture, electrotherapy, laser therapy, hydrotherapy, etc.
• Provide knowledge and consult the patients about exercises and movements that can be performed at home
• Assessment of treatment programs or recommend courses of action/modifications in treatments based on the patient’s health progress
• Conduct physical examinations and assist the patients in using clinic equipment safely
• Prepare the patient and the environment for treatment as directed by the Physiotherapist
• Evaluate performance and report on patient’s medical record
• Prepare documentation to support the delivery of physiotherapy services
• Assist patients in using supportive devices, such as crutches or canes
• Clean medical equipment and maintain inventory of equipment supplies
• Maintain hygiene and a clean working environment by adhering to the procedures, rules, and regulations, and complying with infection-control policies and protocols.
Requirements
• Post-secondary education in the same field is required.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in the same field is required.
