Phoenix Construction Systems Ltd. located in Surrey; BC is currently hiring 3 full-time Drywall Installers for their growing team.

Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time

Salary: $28.00 per hour

Start date: As soon as possible
Work locations: Candidates are required to work at various locations in Surrey BC, and other areas of Lower Mainland (BC).

Work conditions and physical capabilities: Physically demanding.

Job duties:

• Measure cut and fit drywall sheets for installation on walls and ceilings.
• Position and secure drywall sheets to metal or wooden studs.
• Coordinate work procedures for drywall installation and removal.
• Cut and install metal corner beads to protect exterior corners.
• Fill joints, nail indentations, holes, and cracks with joint compound.
• Tape over joints using a taping machine and embed tape in the compound.
• Smooth out the excess compound and allow the coat to dry.
• Install suspended metal ceiling grids and place in panels to form acoustical and coffered ceilings.
• Follow all safety procedures on work site.

Job requirements:  

• Completion of secondary school.
• Completion of Apprenticeship program in the trade or Minimum 2-3 years of work experience.
• Good communication skills.
• Hand and foot dexterity to perform activities such as lifting overhead, twisting, and bending while lifting, climbing ladders and stairs.
• Willing to travel to different location in Lower Mainland, BC.

Note: Candidates who qualify will receive relocation assistance up to $1000.00. The company will pay $500.00 CAD as a referral incentive to any current employee who refers a candidate, and the company hires them.
