Job description:
Assistant Vice President Duties and Responsibilities:
Reporting to President, an Assistant Vice President is responsible for supporting the company’s strategies and procedures for growth and development, working alongside the board executives.
- Assist the President in overall direction, management, and administration of all aspects of the company’s operation
- Participate in establish objectives for the company and development of policies and programs
- Providing additional assistance with material, human, and financial resources allocation and management to implement company’s policies and programs
- Establish and supervise financial and administrative control, and integrate best practices in all administrative functions and operations
- Coordinate in the company’s enterprise risk management framework, and manage the company’s legal and compliance risk, with specific focus on trade and business relations with China and broader Asian regions
- Coordinate the work of regions and departments to ensure the smooth flow of business process
- Organize the establishment of major departments and associated senior staff
- Approve overall personnel planning, select middle managers and executive staffs, ensure that all the company’s policies and legal procedures comply with all employees
- Act on behalf of the company in negotiation contracts and other official functions.
Qualifications and Requirements:
- A university degree or college diploma is required
- At least 5 years of senior managerial experience in overseeing a wide range of operations, including business planning, financial management, personnel management, and administrative management is required
- Experience in risk control and regulatory matters, with a specific focus on international trade and business relations with China and broader Asian regions is preferred
Broad cross-cultural and international experience (Asian Pacific and North American) with wide resources and connections in supply chain, international trade, and logistics industry is an asset
