Job Title: Shift Supervisor

Wage: $17.00/Hour to $17.50/Hour depending on experience.

Education: Minimum High School Diploma OR Community College Diploma

Experience/Skills: A minimum of one year or more of experience as a Lead Hand in a small to medium Fast Food/Restaurant setup. Experience hiring and training staff, handling a restaurant budget, and ensuring all equipment and procedures are up to health and safety code.  Experience monitoring inventory, communicating with vendors, solving customer complaints. Have a creative energy and fresh ideas for use at different fundraising times in the restaurant. Knowledge of food safety and hygiene.

 

Good written and verbal communication skills, with attention to detail.

Good command of the English language is a must, with the ability to speak, write, read and listen effectively.

 

Job Duties:

Ensure that all food products are stored at proper temperature using time and temperature Logs.

  • Ensure proper cleaning and maintenance of restaurant equipment and report any issues to restaurant manager.
  • Maintain records of bake and wastage in restaurant.
  • Coordinate with restaurant manager in training of any new staff members in restaurant policies, job duties and safety procedures.
  • Complete all daily and overnight food preparation as required.
  • Assist to control food costs and monitor labor and recommend corrective measures where necessary.
  • Assign shifts and hours to the employes and ensuring their tasks are performed as per company standards.
  • Make sure daily production and/or sales goals are met.
  • Assist Manager in executing the restaurant operations during scheduled shifts.

 

  • Complete restaurant equipment calibrations and ensure all equipment is in proper working order.
  • Maintain records of inventory levels, both weekly and monthly.
