Salary:
$21.00 per hour (full-time position; 40 hours per week)
Job responsibilities:
The Head Cashier is responsible for the supervision of a team of cashiers, providing training, hiring, monitoring, and assistance with operational issues, providing direction and support to Cashiers and Baggers, and ensuring excellent customer service.

- Supervise and provide direction and support to cashiers and baggers
- Provide training to cashiers on policies and procedures related to point-of-sale system
- Assign duties to cashiers and baggers and monitor their work on a daily basis
- Prepare work schedules and distribute till allocation
- Ensure that each customer’s transactions are processed accurately and, in a time, efficient manner
- Ensuring excellent customer service
- Responsible for the efficient expedition of all customer transactions
- Authorize payments and return of merchandise
- Identify and correct cash register errors and take measures to ensure that further errors do not happen
- Resolve employee conflicts and ensure that any customer complaints are handled immediately
- Perform cashier duties during cashiers’ absence or extreme workload
- Ensure that checkout areas are properly maintained in a clean and orderly condition at all times
- Order supplies applicable to front
- Prepare reports for all transactions and sales and proper control of all cash
- Close/reconcile cash with receipts at the end of each shift and make sure that any discrepancies are managed immediately
- Deal with suppliers in the absence of owner, General Manager or store supervisor
- Assist owner in all aspects of the management of the front-end of the store
Job Requirements:
- Minimum 1 year of experience in the food retail store environment
