Job Responsibilities:
- Provide general administrative support to the company and its employees. This may include managing correspondence, answering phone calls, scheduling meetings, and organizing appointments.
- Maintain and organize company records, documents, and files. This involves tasks such as data entry, filing, scanning, and retrieval of information as needed.
- Oversee the maintenance and upkeep of the office environment. They ensure that office equipment is functioning properly, and order and manage office supplies and inventory.
- Handle incoming and outgoing communications, such as emails, memos, and letters. Office administrators may also be responsible for distributing information within the company and maintaining contact lists.
- Assist in scheduling and coordinating meetings, conferences, and events. This includes booking meeting rooms, arranging for equipment and catering, and sending out invitations or meeting agendas.
- Involved in basic financial tasks, such as managing petty cash, preparing expense reports, processing invoices, and coordinating with the finance department
- Provide support to the human resources department. This can include tasks such as maintaining employee records, assisting with onboarding new hires, and managing employee time and attendance.
- Ensure compliance with company policies and procedures and may assist in developing or updating office-related policies and guidelines.
- Act as a liaison between different departments, employees, and external stakeholders. Coordination with vendors, clients, or other external parties on behalf of the company.
JOB DETAILS
Location: Brampton, ON L6W 1X9
Salary: $27.20 per hour for 35 hours per week
Overtime:1.5 times of gross pay after completion of 44 hours
Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period
Job Type: Permanent employment
Eligibility Requirements:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is typically the minimum educational requirement
- Experience for 2 years to less than 3 years in similar role preferred.
- Possess strong administrative and organizational skills. This includes proficiency in tasks such as managing schedules, coordinating meetings, handling correspondence, and maintaining records and files.
- Proficiency in computer skills is important for an office administrator. This typically includes knowledge of word processing, spreadsheet, and presentation software, as well as familiarity with email and other common office applications. Additionally, experience with office equipment such as printers, copiers, and scanners may be required.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills in English are essential for an office administrator.
