Job Responsibilities:
- Responsible for creating and modifying software programs by writing lines of code. They need to have a strong understanding of programming languages and use them to develop applications, websites, or software systems. Debugging is an essential part of their work, as they identify and fix errors or issues in the code.
- Use Languages and frameworks such as – AngularJS, Codeigniter, Laravel, Yii, VB Script; JavaScript; C#; .NET, and Python
- Often work as part of a team, collaborating with project managers, software engineers, and other stakeholders. May also need to discuss requirements, share progress updates, and coordinate efforts to ensure smooth development and deployment of software projects.
- Need to understand the needs and specifications of the software users or clients. analyzing these requirements and translating them into code, ensuring that the software meets the desired functionalities and objectives.
- Responsible for testing their code and software applications to identify and resolve any bugs, glitches, or compatibility issues. Performing unit tests, integration tests, and system tests to ensure the software functions correctly and meets quality standards.
- Involved in maintaining and updating existing software systems. This can involve fixing bugs, implementing enhancements, optimizing performance, or adapting the software to new requirements or technologies.
- Documenting code and software projects to facilitate future maintenance, support, and understanding. This includes writing clear comments within the code, preparing technical documentation, and creating user manuals or guides.
- Need to stay updated with the latest programming languages, frameworks, and best practices. Also, often engage in continuous learning and professional development to enhance their skills and adapt to evolving industry trends.
- Work on Python, DB2 Database, Amazon Web Services (AWS), JIRA, HTML, XML, Oracle SQL
Eligibility Requirements:
- A CEGEP/College degree in computer science, software engineering, or a related field is typically preferred
- 2 to 3 years experience in a computer programming role with strong proficiency in programming languages including C, C++, Java, Python, JavaScript, .NET, MySQL, SQL, Ruby, jQuery, and Ajax is an added advantage
- Need to be efficient at problem-solving and analytical thinking. Should be able to break down complex problems into smaller, manageable components and develop effective solutions using logical reasoning.
- Effective communication skills are valuable for collaborating with team members, discussing requirements, and conveying ideas.

Salary: $.43.65 per hour for 30 hours per week
Overtime:1.5 times gross pay after completion of 44 hours
Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period
