Job Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing financial strategies to support the company's goals and objectives in the goods, production, utilities, and transportation sectors.
- Overseeing financial planning, forecasting, and budgeting processes, analyzing financial performance, and providing insights to drive decision-making.
- Ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, including preparation of financial statements, regulatory filings, and management reports.
- Identifying financial risks and implementing risk management strategies to safeguard the company's assets and optimize financial performance.
- Implementing cost control measures and monitoring expenses to improve profitability and operational efficiency within the goods, production, utilities, and transportation departments.
- Evaluating investment opportunities, conducting financial analysis, and providing recommendations on capital investments, acquisitions, or divestitures.
- Managing the company's assets, optimizing working capital, and overseeing banking relationships to ensure adequate liquidity and efficient funds management.
- Ensuring compliance with financial regulations, internal policies, and reporting requirements while maintaining strong corporate governance practices.
- Leading and mentoring finance teams, fostering a collaborative environment, and providing guidance on financial matters to support the organization's success.
Eligibility Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field is typically required.
- Significant experience in finance and accounting is usually required, often ranging from 5 years or more.
- Responsible for financial management, asset management and P&L of the company.
- In-depth knowledge of financial analysis, financial planning and forecasting, budgeting, financial reporting, risk management, and strategic financial decision-making is crucial for this role. Proficiency in financial modeling and analysis tools is often required.
- Effective English communication and presentation skills are required.
- Expected to have a strategic mindset, understanding the long-term goals of the company and aligning financial strategies to support those goals. The ability to think analytically and strategically is key.
Location: Brampton, ON L6W 1X9
Salary: $59.00 per hour for 35 hours per week
Overtime:1.5 times of gross pay after completion of 44 hours
Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period
