Salary: $18.65 per hour for 35 hours per week
Overtime:1.5 times gross pay after completion of 44 hours
Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period

Job Responsibilities:
- Overseeing the daily operations of the food service establishment, ensuring smooth and efficient service. This involves monitoring food preparation, presentation, and overall service quality.
- Managing and scheduling staff, including hiring, training, and conducting performance evaluations. Providing guidance and support to employees, promoting teamwork, and addressing any performance or disciplinary issues.
- Ensuring excellent customer service by maintaining a friendly and welcoming environment. Resolving customer complaints or concerns promptly and ensuring customer satisfaction.
- Collaborating with the chef or kitchen staff to plan menus, taking into account customer preferences, dietary requirements, and seasonal availability. Managing inventory levels, placing orders for ingredients, and maintaining appropriate stock levels.
- Enforcing strict adherence to food safety and hygiene standards. Monitoring compliance with health regulations, conducting regular inspections, and training staff on proper food handling procedures.
- Monitoring and controlling costs, including labor, food, and supplies. Implementing strategies to maximize profitability, such as minimizing waste, optimizing portion sizes, and managing inventory efficiently.
- Ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations, including proper sanitation practices, equipment maintenance, and workplace safety protocols. Conducting regular safety training and inspections.
- Maintaining high standards of food quality, taste, and presentation. Conducting regular quality checks, tasting samples, and addressing any issues promptly.
- Keeping accurate records of sales, inventory, and other relevant data. Generating reports on performance, financials, and customer feedback. Providing reports to management as required.
Eligibility Requirements:
- A secondary (high) school graduation certificate or equivalent is typically required.
- Previous experience of 1 to 2 years working in the food service industry, such as restaurants, cafeterias, catering services, or hospitality establishments, is typically required. Experience in a supervisory or leadership role is often preferred.
- Understanding and adherence to food safety and hygiene standards is crucial. Knowledge of local health regulations, such as SERV Safe certification or similar training, is often preferred.
- Excellent customer service skills and the ability to handle customer inquiries, complaints, and requests in a professional and satisfactory manner are essential.
- Effective English communication and interpersonal skills are essential for interacting with customers, employees, and vendors. Clear and concise communication helps in conveying instructions, addressing concerns, and maintaining positive relationships.
- The ability to think critically, solve problems, and make informed decisions in a fast-paced environment is valuable. Being adaptable and resourceful when unexpected situations arise is important.
