We are currently looking for a permanent and full-time Senior Logistics Coordinator – Supervisor to join our team.
Duties and Responsibilities:
• Prepares, complies, and sorts documents for data entry.
• Transfer information from email instructions and a variety of shipping documents into MS Excel spreadsheet, Company system and cloud files.
• Review data for errors or missing information and resolves any discrepancies.
• Prepare shipping documents and maintain positive relationship with customers.
• Conduct daily shipping status update on MS Excel spreadsheet and sends email alerts to customer when needed.
• Contact trucking companies, customers, Customs Brokers, Steam Ship Lines, rail service providers, TCCU/CBSA officers, overseas agents as well as other related parties to resolve shipment related issues, disputes, and tasks.
• Protect confidential information of all customers and the Company.
• Communicate with foreign agents through different channels and build positive and strong relation with agents. Attend network events if necessary.
• Negotiate price, accessorial tariffs and service coverages with vendors, agents, third party service providers.
• Ensure compliance with policies, procedures for safety and security, standards and regulations in force and participate in their improvement.
• Train workers in job duties
• May conduct performance reviews of supervised workers
• May perform the same duties as workers supervised.
Education, skills and experience required:
• Completion of Secondary School
• Completion of a post-secondary education program in business, supply chain, production, or manufacturing management and related
• At least three years of most recent experiences in freight forwarding industries
• Ability to work well in a team
Language:
• Ability to communicate in English both Spoken and Written
• French or second foreign language such as Chinese, Japanese, Korean, Vietnamese etc. will be an asset
Compensation and Benefit:
$28.85/hour, 10 days vacation, Extended Health Benefit (medical and dental included)
