Location: Oakville, ON L6K 3X9

Salary: $33.00 hourly

             35 hours per week

Overtime: 1.5 times of gross pay after completion of 44 hours

Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period 

Job Type: Permanent employment, Full time 

Job Responsibilities:

  • Meet with clients to understand their needs, objectives, and target audience. Also, gather information about the website's purpose, desired features, branding guidelines, and content requirements.
  • Create a plan for the website's structure, layout, and functionality and brainstorm ideas, create wireframes or prototypes, and develop a visual concept that aligns with the client's goals.
  • Create visually appealing layouts using design software and tools. Also, design the user interface, including elements such as navigation menus, buttons, forms, and other interactive components, ensuring a seamless and intuitive user experience.
  • Choose appropriate color schemes that reflect the client's branding and create a visually cohesive look. Also, select suitable fonts and typography styles that enhance readability and convey the desired tone.
  • Proficient to source graphics, icons, images, and other visual elements to enhance the website's aesthetics and support its content. One must optimize and edit visuals to ensure fast loading times and proper display across devices.
  • Use HTML (Hypertext Markup Language) and CSS (Cascading Style Sheets) to structure and style the website's content. This involves writing clean and organized code, ensuring compatibility across different browsers and devices. 
  • Conduct tests to ensure the website's functionality, responsiveness, and compatibility. They fix any bugs or issues and make necessary adjustments to ensure optimal performance across various platforms and screen sizes.
  • Work closely with clients, project managers, content creators, and other team members by collaborating to incorporate feedback, make revisions, and ensure the design aligns with project requirements and deadlines. 

Eligibility Requirements:

  • A CEGEP/ college degree in computer science, software engineering, web development, or a related field is the minimum educational qualification required. 
  • Proficiency in web development languages such as HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and familiarity with frameworks like React, Angular, or Django. Knowledge of database systems, such as MySQL or MongoDB, and experience with version control systems like Git, are also valuable.
  • Demonstrated experience of 3 to 5 years in coding and programming, including building responsive websites, implementing user interfaces, and solving technical challenges. 
  • Familiarity with web development tools and technologies such as integrated development environments (IDEs), code editors, debugging tools, and browser developer tools.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to troubleshoot issues, optimize performance, and implement innovative solutions.
  • Effective English communication skills to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams, clients, and stakeholders, translating technical concepts to non-technical individuals.
