Location: Mississauga, ON L5W 1N6
Salary: $65.05 hourly
30 hours per week
Overtime: 1.5 times of gross pay after completion of 44 hours
Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period

Job Responsibilities:
- Developing and implementing financial strategies, forecasting, and budgeting, conducting financial analysis, and evaluating investment opportunities.
- Overseeing the preparation and analysis of financial statements, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements. Ensuring compliance with accounting standards and regulatory requirements.
- Assessing financial risks, implementing risk management strategies, and maintaining appropriate insurance coverage. Monitoring and mitigating financial risks such as credit, market, and operational risks.
- Managing financial operations, including cash management, accounts payable and receivable, payroll, and tax compliance. Ensuring efficient and effective financial processes and controls.
- Collaborating with senior management to develop long-term financial strategies aligned with organizational goals. Providing financial insights and recommendations to support strategic decision-making.
- Ensuring compliance with relevant financial laws, regulations, and reporting requirements. Staying up-to-date with changes in accounting standards and industry regulations.
- Leading and managing the finance team, including hiring and training staff, setting performance objectives, and fostering a collaborative and high-performance work environment.
- Building and maintaining relationships with internal and external stakeholders, such as investors, lenders, auditors, and government agencies. Representing the organization in financial matters.
Eligibility Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in finance, accounting, economics, or a related field, or equivalent experience is typically required.
- Significant experience of 5 years or more in financial planning, financial analysis, budgeting, or other relevant areas is required.
- Strong knowledge of financial principles, accounting practices, financial analysis techniques, and financial management concepts is essential. This includes understanding financial statements, financial ratios, financial modeling, and financial risk management.
- Involved in strategic decision-making processes. Therefore, one should possess strong strategic thinking skills, and the ability to analyze complex financial information and provide insights to support organizational goals.
- Strong leadership and management abilities. This includes the ability to lead and motivate a team, delegate tasks effectively, and foster a collaborative work environment.
- Excellent English communication and interpersonal skills are necessary for presenting financial information, negotiating contracts, and building relationships.
- A thorough understanding of financial regulations and compliance requirements is crucial. This includes knowledge of accounting standards, tax laws, financial reporting regulations, and industry-specific regulations.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
- Expertise in utilizing computers and technology, including proficiency in software such as MS Excel, MS Outlook, MS Windows, and MS Office.
- The ability to thrive under pressure and meet tight deadlines, while paying close attention to minor details, is highly valued.
