Job description:

Bright Rainbow Child Care Ltd., a well-established child care & early learning company located at 6235 136 Street, Units A, C, D Surrey, British Columbia V3X 1H3 has an immediate vacancy for an Early Childhood Educator (ECE) Assistant. The position is fulltime/ Permanent $21.00/hour. 

Applicant should have completed Secondary (high) school certificate.

Following Certification/ licencing is required:

• Child development assistant (ECE level 1)
• Child development worker (ECE level 2)
• Emergency child care first aid and CPR

1 to 7 months of experience in the field of Child Care is required. 

Language of work will be English.

Job duties involve to:

• Bathe, diaper and feed infants and toddlers
• Storytelling
• Support early childhood educators in carrying out programs that promote the physical, cognitive, emotional and social development of children
• Assist early childhood educators or supervisors in keeping records
• Engage children in activities by telling stories, teaching songs and preparing crafts
• provide opportunities to express creativity through the media of art, dramatic play, music and physical activity
• Guide and assist children in the development of proper eating, dressing and toilet habits
• Maintain daycare equipment and assist in housekeeping and cooking duties
• Prepare snacks and arrange rooms or furniture for lunch and rest periods
• Knowledge of licensing regulations
• Establish guidelines for behaviour
• Attend staff meetings to discuss progress and problems of children
• Plan and maintain an environment that protects the health, security and well-being of children
