Job description:
Location: North York, ON M2N 7E9
Salary: $43.25 hourly for 35 hours per week
Overtime: 1.5 times of gross pay after completion of 44 hours
Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period

Job Responsibilities:
- Analyzing and evaluating business processes and systems to identify areas for improvement or optimization.
- Collaborating with stakeholders, such as business managers and IT teams, to gather requirements and understand business needs.
- Designing and implementing computer-based solutions to address business challenges or enhance efficiency.
- Conducting system analysis and feasibility studies to assess the viability and impact of proposed system changes.
- Developing and documenting system requirements, specifications, and procedures for system enhancements or new system implementations.
- Testing and troubleshooting computer systems to ensure they meet functional and performance requirements.
- Training end-users on new or modified systems, and providing ongoing support and guidance.
- Monitoring system performance and identifying opportunities for system enhancements or upgrades.
- Collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure effective integration and compatibility between different systems.
- Keeping abreast of emerging technologies and industry trends to recommend innovative solutions and improvements.
- This role in computer systems involves creating and enforcing policies and procedures at every stage of the software development life-cycle.
- Responsible to perform comprehensive reviews to evaluate the quality assurance practices, software products, and information systems.
Eligibility Requirements:
- A bachelor's degree in computer science, information systems, or a related field is often preferred.
- Proficiency in computer systems, software development, databases, and relevant technologies is essential. Knowledge of programming languages, system analysis, and software testing methodologies is often required.
- Prior experience of 3 to 5 years in business analysis, system design, software development, or a related field is typically required.
- Strong English communication and interpersonal skills are important for effectively collaborating with stakeholders, gathering requirements, and communicating complex technical concepts to non-technical individuals.
- The ability to analyze business processes, identify system requirements, and propose innovative solutions is crucial. Strong problem-solving and critical thinking skills are valuable in this role.
- Pay close attention to detail to ensure accurate documentation, thorough testing, and precise system analysis.
- The capacity to thrive under pressure and consistently meet tight deadlines is a crucial attribute.
- Computer and technical proficiency encompass a strong familiarity with SQL, and MS SQL Server databases, and adeptness in efficient database management.
