Job Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for developing and implementing strategic plans to guide the overall direction of the organization. This involves analyzing market trends, identifying growth opportunities, and setting goals for the company's goods production, utilities, transportation, or construction operations.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the organization, ensuring that production processes are efficient, utilities are effectively managed, transportation operations run smoothly, or construction projects are progressing as planned. This includes coordinating activities among different departments, monitoring production schedules, and addressing any operational challenges.
  • Preparing and monitoring budgets for goods production, utilities, transportation, or construction projects. This involves allocating financial resources appropriately, tracking expenses, analyzing financial data, and making strategic financial decisions to optimize resource utilization.
  • Provide leadership and guidance to department heads and employees across various functions. This includes setting performance expectations, fostering a positive work culture, promoting collaboration, and motivating teams to achieve organizational objectives. Effective communication and the ability to inspire and develop talent are essential in this role.
  • Allocating resources efficiently to meet production targets, utility demand, transportation needs, or construction project requirements. This involves managing labor resources, coordinating equipment and machinery usage, and ensuring the availability of materials and supplies necessary for operations.
  • Implementing quality control measures to ensure that products, services, or construction projects meet the specified standards. This includes establishing quality assurance processes, conducting inspections, and addressing any quality-related issues.
  • Identifying and mitigating risks is an important aspect of the role.
  • Compliance with industry-specific laws, regulations, and safety standards is a key responsibility.
  • Stay updated on relevant regulations and ensure that the organization adheres to them. This may include obtaining necessary permits or licenses, implementing safety protocols, and addressing any compliance-related issues.
  • Tracking key performance indicators (KPIs) is essential to evaluate the organization's performance.

Eligibility Requirements:

  • A bachelor's degree in a relevant field such as business administration, engineering, operations management, or a related discipline is often required.
  • Experience of 5 years or above overseeing complex operations and optimizing efficiency is highly valued.
  • In-depth knowledge and understanding of the goods production, utilities, transportation, or construction industry is essential.
  • Proficiency in financial management is important. This involves budgeting, cost control, financial analysis, and the ability to make data-driven decisions.
  • Understanding financial statements, forecasting, and resource allocation are critical for managing budgets effectively.
  • Strong leadership abilities are crucial. Demonstrated skills in leading and managing teams, making strategic decisions, and driving organizational success. Effective communication, problem-solving, and decision-making skills are also important.
  • Solid understanding of operational processes in goods production, utilities, transportation, or construction.
  • Strong interpersonal and communication skills are essential for building relationships, negotiating contracts, and effectively conveying information.
  • Proficiency in computer and technology with a thorough experience with MS Access and MS Office.

Location: Bolton, ON   L7E 0R9

Salary: $60.00 per hour for 35 hours per week

Overtime:1.5 times of gross pay after completion of 44 hours

Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period
