Business Name: Kohinoor Looms Inc.

Job Title: Clothing Designer

No. of Vacancies: 2

Terms of Employment: Permanent, Full Time.

Anticipated Start Date: As soon as possible.

Work Location: 2625 Islington Avenue Etobicoke, Ontario M9V 2X4

Wage rate: $25.50/hour for 40 hours/week.

Benefits: 4% vacation pay of the gross salary will be paid each pay period. 

Education: College, CEGEP or other non-university certificate or diploma from a program of 1 year to 2 years

Experience: 1 year to less than 2 years

Language: English.

Job Duties: 

• Supervise staff (apprentices, stages hands, design team, etc.)
  • Study fashion trends and anticipate designs that will appeal to consumers.
  • Visit manufacturers or trade shows to get samples of fabric.
  • Teach interest or professional development courses
  • Exhibit designers plan and develop permanent and temporary or moveable exhibits and displays for exhibitions, trade shows, conventions and retail spaces.
  • Design and create clothing and accessories for men, women and children.

Additional Skills: Team working, Problem solving, Decision making & Continuous learning. Work under pressure
