Location: Oakville, ON L6J 7W5

Salary: $34.50 hourly for 40 hours per week

Job Type: Permanent employment, Full time 

Overtime: 1.5 times of gross pay after completion of 44 hours

Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period

Job Responsibilities:

• Develop and maintain innovative, user-friendly, and responsive websites and web applications.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to gather project requirements and propose technical solutions.
• Write clean and efficient code using modern programming languages (HTML, CSS, JavaScript, etc.).
• Refine the selection of information sources, organize the gathered data for incorporation, and craft a well-structured design that encompasses the appearance, layout, and smooth flow of the website. Optimize website performance and ensure compatibility across different browsers and devices.
• Compile a comprehensive set of documents, including reports, manuals, and other documentation, detailing the current status, operational procedures, and maintenance guidelines for the software.
• Troubleshoot and resolve bugs, ensuring the smooth functioning of web applications.
• Stay up-to-date with emerging web technologies and best practices to drive continuous improvement.
• Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback to team members.
• Assist in website deployment and server maintenance.
• Maintain a strong focus on security and data protection throughout development processes.
• Collaborate with the marketing team to optimize the website and enhance user engagement.
• One will be responsible for creating website architecture and evaluating hardware and software requirements.

Eligibility Requirements:

• A CEGEP/ college degree in Computer Science, Web Development, Software Engineering, or a related field is typically required. 
• Proficiency in HTML, C++, jQuery, .NET, and Java is essential for web development. 
• Prior experience of 3 to 5 years as a web developer or in a related IT field is highly desirable. 
• The capability to troubleshoot and debug code, as well as finding innovative solutions to technical challenges.
• One should be open to learning new technologies and staying updated with the latest industry trends.
• The ability to work effectively in a team environment and communicate ideas clearly with cross-functional teams.
• One must pay close attention to design details, responsiveness, and overall user experience.
• The capacity to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines while maintaining the quality of work.
• This job necessitates excellent English-speaking skills and strong interpersonal abilities, which are of utmost importance.
