Job description:
Location: Oakville, ON L6J 7W5
Salary: $28.50 hourly for 35 hours per week
Job Type: Permanent employment, Full time
Overtime: 1.5 times of gross pay after completion of 44 hours
Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period

Job Responsibilities:
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records of financial transactions, including invoices, payments, and expenses.
- Manage accounts payable and receivable processes, ensuring timely payments and collections.
- Perform bank reconciliation to ensure that company records align with bank statements.
- Proficiency in calculating fixed assets and depreciation.
- Process employee payroll, including deductions, taxes, and benefits, while ensuring compliance with relevant regulations.
- Assist in monitoring and tracking budgets, analyzing variances, and providing financial reports to management.
- Prepare financial statements, including profit and loss statements and balance sheets, for management review.
- Assist in tax preparation and compliance, providing necessary documentation for audits and filings.
- Oversee inventory records and reconcile them with actual stock levels.
- Maintain organized financial records and ensure adherence to accounting principles and company policies.
- Utilize accounting software and tools proficiently for efficient bookkeeping tasks.
- Analyze and control expenses to optimize financial performance.
Eligibility Requirements:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is typically the minimum requirement.
- Proficiency in basic mathematics, computer skills, and familiarity with accounting software are essential. Attention to detail and strong organizational abilities are also valuable.
- Typically, this job requires a minimum of 2 to 3 years of prior significant experience in bookkeeping.
- Having excellent communication and interpersonal skills is crucial for effectively interacting with customers or clients.
- Proficiency in computer and technology is a must, including knowledge of accounting software such as MS Access, MS PowerPoint, QuickBooks, and MS Office.
