Permanent Full Time Live-out Child Caregiver - Private Home wanted for Gallop/Totten family, located in the Heritage Drive Community of Fort McMurray Alberta. Wage rate is $17.00 per hour and works at least 40 hours per week. Benefit includes 10 days vacation after 1 year of service.
JOB DUTIES:
- Assume full responsibility for household in the absence of the parents/employers.
- Supervise and care for a child in the employers’ private residence.
- Oversee child’s activities, such as meals and rest periods, as instructed by the parents/employers.
- Instruct child in personal hygiene and social development.
- Tend to the emotional well-being of the child.
- Discipline child according to the methods requested by parents/employers.
- Organize and participate in activities such as games, crafts, reading and outings to provide amusement and exercise.
- Plan, prepare and serve meals for the children and perform other light housekeeping duties.
- Maintain a healthy environment in the home.
- Shop for food and household supplies.
- May travel with the family as required to assist in supervision of the child.

Education: Completion of high school is required.
Work experience: Experience an asset but not required as employer will train.
