Location: Brampton, ON L6Y 0V6
Salary: $28.50 hourly/ 35hours per week
Overtime: 1.5 times of gross pay after completion of 44 hours
Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period

Job Responsibilities:
- Maintaining accurate financial records of business transactions, including income, expenses, and other financial activities.
- Managing and recording payments to suppliers, vendors, and creditors.
- Tracking and recording customer payments and ensuring timely collections.
- Reconciling bank statements with the company's financial records to identify discrepancies and ensure accuracy.
- Updating and maintaining the general ledger, which includes various accounts and financial data.
- Calculating and recording employee wages, taxes, and other deductions.
- Preparing financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
- Monitoring and categorizing business expenses to facilitate budgeting and financial analysis.
- Ensuring compliance with tax regulations and assisting in preparing tax-related documents.
- Entering financial data into accounting software or spreadsheets accurately and efficiently.
- Assisting in creating budgets and monitoring expenses to stay within budgetary limits.
- Providing necessary documentation and assistance during financial audits.
- Assisting in financial analysis and generating reports to support business decision-making.
- Handling petty cash transactions and maintaining appropriate records.
- Organizing and filing financial documents for easy retrieval and record-keeping.
- Ensuring the confidentiality and security of financial records and sensitive information.
Eligibility Requirements:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is typically required.
- Basic knowledge of accounting principles, financial statements, and bookkeeping practices is essential.
- Strong mathematical skills to accurately record and analyze financial data.
- Ability to meticulously maintain financial records and spot errors or discrepancies.
- Capability to manage and organize financial documents and data efficiently.
- Prior experience of 2 to 3 years in bookkeeping, accounting, or a related field is preferred.
- Good English written and verbal communication skills to interact with clients, team members, and other stakeholders.
- Ability to manage time effectively and meet deadlines for financial tasks and reporting.
- Capability to identify and resolve bookkeeping-related issues and discrepancies.
- Being flexible to work with different clients, industries, and accounting systems.
- Familiarity with tax regulations and relevant tax forms to support tax-related tasks.
- Capacity to analyze financial data and generate basic financial reports.
- Displaying honesty and ethical conduct in handling financial transactions.
- Willingness to work collaboratively with other accounting and finance professionals in the organization.
- Good customer service skills may be beneficial.
- Proficiency in computer and technology encompasses skills in using MS Office (Word, Excel, Outlook), spreadsheets, QuickBooks, and various other software applications.
- Willingness to stay updated on accounting practices and industry changes.
