Salary: $27.35 per hour for 35 hours per week
Overtime:1.5 times gross pay after completion of 44 hours
Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period

Job Responsibilities:
- Accurately entering and maintaining financial data, including sales, purchases, receipts, and payments.
- Updating and balancing general ledger accounts to ensure accurate financial records.
- Matching financial transactions with bank statements to identify discrepancies and maintain accuracy.
- Monitoring and tracking outstanding customer invoices and vendor bills.
- Calculating employee wages, deductions, and taxes, and ensuring timely payroll processing.
- Preparing regular financial reports, including income statements, balance sheets, and cash flow statements.
- Complying with relevant financial regulations, tax laws, and reporting requirements.
- Assisting in the preparation of tax documents and providing necessary financial information to tax authorities.
- Managing and organizing financial records and documents for easy retrieval and reference.
- Managing petty cash transactions and reconciling the balance regularly.
- Coordinating and providing support during internal and external audits.
- Assisting in monitoring expenses against budgeted amounts and reporting any variances.
- Interacting with clients, vendors, and other stakeholders to address financial queries and concerns.
- Using accounting software like Quick Books proficiently to perform bookkeeping tasks efficiently.
Eligibility Requirements:
- A CEGEP/ college degree or equivalent is typically the minimum educational requirement.
- Prior experience of a minimum of 2 years to less than 3 years is essential for this role.
- Effective English communication skills are valuable for liaising with other departments, vendors, and customers to resolve financial queries and issues.
- Familiarity with double-entry bookkeeping, financial statements, and general ledger management, is important for this role.
- Proficiency in using accounting software and spreadsheet applications (e.g., Excel) is often required to efficiently manage financial records and transactions.
- Need to be detail-oriented to ensure accuracy in recording financial transactions and maintaining precise financial records.
- Possess strong mathematical skills to perform calculations and reconcile financial data.
- Familiarity with the furniture industry or similar retail sectors may be an advantage in understanding specific financial transactions and challenges.
- The ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines is important in handling day-to-day responsibilities.
- Handle sensitive financial information, so a high level of integrity and the ability to maintain confidentiality is crucial.
- Strong organizational skills are essential for managing financial documents, invoices, receipts, and other important records.
