Salary: $27.50 per hour for 35 hours per week
Overtime:1.5 times gross pay after completion of 44 hours
Vacation Pay: 4% on every pay period

Job Responsibilities
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date financial records, including transactions, invoices, receipts, and payments.
- Enter financial data into accounting software or spreadsheets, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
- Process and track incoming invoices, verify accuracy, and schedule payments to suppliers and vendors.
- Monitor and record incoming payments, generate invoices, and follow up on overdue accounts.
- Reconcile bank statements with company records to ensure discrepancies are identified and resolved.
- Update and maintain the general ledger, recording all financial transactions in appropriate accounts.
- Categorize and record business expenses, ensuring compliance with tax regulations and company policies.
- Calculate employee wages, deductions, and taxes; process payroll payments accurately and on time.
- Generate financial reports, such as balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements, to provide insights into the company's financial health.
- Compile information for tax returns and work with accountants to ensure accurate and timely tax filing.
- Assist in analyzing financial data to identify trends, patterns, and areas for improvement.
- Maintain organized and well-documented financial records for auditing purposes.
- Utilize accounting software and tools to manage financial data efficiently.
- Maintain proper record retention for financial documents in line with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Handle sensitive financial information with discretion and maintain data security.
Eligibility Requirements:
- A high school diploma or equivalent is typically required.
- Previous experience of 2 to 3 years in bookkeeping, accounting, or related roles is valuable.
- Strong numerical and mathematical skills to accurately record and calculate financial transactions.
- Meticulous attention to detail is crucial for accurate data entry, reconciliations, and financial reporting.
- Familiarity with accounting software QuickBooks, Tax Prep, spreadsheet applications (such as Microsoft Excel), and other relevant tools.
- Proficiency in fast and accurate data entry, as bookkeepers handle large amounts of financial information.
- Effective organizational skills to manage financial records, documents, and reports.
- Clear communication skills, both written and verbal, to interact with colleagues, clients, and vendors.
- Upholding high ethical standards and maintaining confidentiality when handling financial data.
- Basic analytical skills to review financial data, identify discrepancies, and assist in financial analysis.
- Efficiently manage time to meet deadlines for regular tasks, such as reconciliations and reporting.
- Ability to identify and address discrepancies, errors, and issues in financial records.
- Basic understanding of accounting principles, terminology, and concepts.
- Awareness of relevant financial regulations and tax laws.
