Since its establishment, Pho Abbotsford #1 Vietnamese Noodle House has been striving to provide our customers with delicious and healthy Vietnamese food over a decade. We prepare all of our menus in-store using fresh ingredients, flavorful herbs and spices, and keen effort. Currently, we are seeking a full-time Cook with enthusiasm in Vietnamese cuisine to join the team and create positive contributions.

Work location: 2644 Cedar Park Place, Abbotsford, BC V2T 3S5

Position Title: Cook

Terms of Employment: Full-time, Permanent

Estimated Starting Date: As Soon As Possible

Positions Available: 2

Wage: $17.62 - $18.62 per hour (Depending on Working Experience)

Work Hours: 30 hours per week

Benefit: 4% Vacation Pay or 2 Weeks of Paid Vacation, and Tips

Responsibility:

• Prepare ingredients, cook complete dishes and alter recipes for special orders if needed;
• Manage working schedules of kitchen helpers and supervise operations of kitchen;
• Maintain the quality and portion of food according to standards of the restaurant;
• Keep inventory and records of food supplies and ingredients;
• Ensure the sanity of the kitchen and equipment before, during, and after food preparation;
• May assist in training and hiring kitchen helpers;

Qualification:

• Completion of secondary school is required;
• Completion of a three-year apprenticeship program for cooks OR Completion of college or other program in cooking or food safety OR More than 1+ year work experience in commercial cooking would be a good asset, but not a mandatory requirement;
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment;
• Ability to work independently and cooperatively;
• Ability to communicate effectively;
