We are looking for a “Telecommunication Line Technician” to join our team in Surrey.

Job title: Telecommunication Line Technician

Job Type: Permanent employment, Full-time

Wage: C$33.00/hr.(36 hours per week)

Language Requirement: English.

Experience: 2 to 3 years

Start Date: As soon as possible

Education: Secondary (high) school graduation certificate

Job Duties of Telecommunication Line Technician (NOC: 72204):

• Install, complete and maintain test and service reports
• Test equipment to locate transmission faults
• Connect, disconnect and relocate cable outlets
• Read and interpret blueprints
• Climb and work aloft on poles, ladders or other support structures.
• Splice, joint and connect wires
• Repair and replace defective telephone equipment and machinery.
• Determine work assignment.
• Install cable modems and software to enable internet access

Experience and machinery experience:

• Fibre optics
• Converters
