Universal Plumbing & Heating Ltd.  is a construction company located at 132B street, Surrey, British Columbia, Canada. We are currently looking for Plumbers to join our growing team.

Job Tile: Plumber

Positions vacant: 2

Terms of employment: Full-time, permanent, occasional overtime is required

Wages: $29.50 per hour, 40 hours per week, overtime pay starts after 40 hours a week, 8 hours a day

Work location: various locations across lower mainland area, depends on job project site

Job type: residential, industrial and renovation construction job projects

Start date: as soon as possible

Job requirements:

• No education is required but 1-2 years of relevant work experience in this trade is required.
• Candidates who have completed this trade’s certification/ apprenticeship program will be hired, even without any prior experience.
• Language: English

Job duties:

• Read blueprints, drawings and specifications to determine layout of plumbing system, water supply network and waste and drainage systems
• Should know to repair, install or maintain plumbing fixtures and system as needed.
• Locate and mark positions for pipe connections, passage holes and fixtures in walls and floors
• Cut wood, concrete or drywall openings in walls and floors to accommodate pipe and pipe fittings
• Measure, cut, bend and thread pipes using hand and power tools or machines as needed in the job.
• Join pipes using couplings, clamps, screws, bolts, cement or soldering, brazing and welding equipment
• Must know how to check pipe leaks using water pressure and air gauges.
