Position: Carpenter Helper
Type of employment: Full-time - Permanent

Anticipated Start date: As soon as possible
Work Location: Unit 106, 12677, 80 Ave, Surrey, BC, V3W3A6 and various other locations in Lower Mainland, BC
Salary and Benefits
Salary: $26.50 per hour

Job Responsibilities
- Assist carpenters and help them in moving equipment and help in other activities.
- Load and unload wooden materials and move materials to work areas.
- Trim joints, fit parts, and subassemblies together to form a complete unit as required.
- Sand wooden surfaces and polish/strain finished products.
- Assist with measure and cut of wood, wood substitute, light steel, and other material.
- Assist in maintenance and repair of cabinets and kitchens in residences and other commercial establishments.
- Clean and prepare surfaces.
- Follow directions and stay on task to ensure smooth workflow.
- Perform other activities as directed.
Job Requirements
- Some work experience as a construction labourer would be an asset.
- Ability to walk stands, crouch for long periods of time and carry out strenuous physical tasks.
- Working setting: The candidate should be available to work full-time.
- Requires lifting, pulling, and carrying of heavy equipment and objects.
- Candidate should be willing to work outdoors, indoors, and all-weather conditions.
Note
- If any of the current employee makes a referral that result into a hire, the company will pay $500.00 CAD to that employee.
- Financial assistance for relocation from other cities, provinces or regions will be provided up to $1000.00 CAD for qualified candidates.
